PRAYER: There is a prayer that you can say to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord.

Heavenly Father, I ask for your forgiveness of my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is your Son and that He died on the cross so that I may be forgiven and live with you forever in heaven. God, I believe that Jesus was raised from the dead and I ask you right now to come into my life as my Lord and Savior. I turn away from my sins and will worship you for the rest of my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen! [Romans 10.9-13]

Congratulations and welcome to the family! If you said this prayer and really meant it, please let Pastor Jeff know about your giving your life to the Lord.

All teens, 6th grade – 18 years old, must complete the membership class (Firm Foundation) to become a member and/or to be baptized. You will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completion.

FIRM FOUNDATION (ABC'S OF CHRISTIANITY)/MEMBERSHIP

Through our Firm Foundation class, our teens learn the basics of what it means to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. This class is required if you want to be baptized or become a member of Peace Baptist Church. The class is highly recommended if you:

  • have recently accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior;
  • want to be baptized (baptism is required to ensure that you understand the reason we are baptized);
  • want to learn more about the Christian faith; or
  • have questions about salvation, re-dedication, Jesus, how to use your Bible in everyday living, etc.

Baptism is a public profession of what you feel in your heart for the Lord Jesus Christ. To understand the commitment you are making, all teens 6th grade – 18 years old, must complete the membership class before being baptized.
