Children’s Ministry Volunteer Process

1.    Application

a.    Complete an application. [If you sign up online, we will provide the application when we meet in person.]

b.    Complete confidentiality statement

c.    Complete a background check (at the expense of the church)

d.    Make an appointment with the Children's Ministry director, link to directory

2.    Orientation

a.    Attend the volunteer training when contacted

b.    Receive name badge upon completion of training

3.    Observation

a.    Observe the classroom(s) you are interested in serving

b.    Inform Ministry Director of your choice

4.    Placement

a.    Volunteers will be assigned to a ministry leader after notifying the ministry director of his/her choice

b.    Serve in classroom with leader/assigned peer teacher for 4-6 weeks.

Teens Ministry (6th Grade – 18 Years Old) Volunteer Process

1.    Contact the volunteer coordinator to express an interest

2.    Schedule a time to attend teen worship service for observation

3.    Complete the Adult Volunteer Interest Form, confidentiality statement, and background check form (at the expense of the church)

4.    Attend volunteer orientation (upon notification)

Volunteers will be assigned to a ministry leader after notifying the ministry director of his/her ministry choice.
